VANTAiO is Top Innovator 2022!

As part of the 7th Mittelstands-Summit in Frankfurt, we were personally honoured as Top Innovator 2022 by Ranga Yogeshwar, the mentor of the TOP100 innovation competition. This award comes at a time when the ability to innovate, be flexible and adapt quickly to changing circumstances is arguably more important than ever before.

VANTAiO receives the TOP 100 award for the first time and is even among the top 10 in this year's TOP 100 innovation competition in the category "Top Management Promoting Innovation". VANTAiO's innovation management was rated "A+" overall (average TOP 100: "A"). The "A" rating is awarded to companies that have an unusually professional innovation management, even by international standards. Companies with this rating set standards, according to innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. The competition was very high again this year, and it was impressive to see how innovative medium-sized companies have dealt with the changes and challenges of our time.

The TOP 100 companies include numerous world market leaders and "hidden champions". Some are leading high-tech companies and still others come from completely new industries. Others come from more traditional industries and have a unique selling point there with their innovativeness. Among them are manufacturing companies as well as service providers, newly founded companies and also family businesses, some of which have been reinventing themselves again and again for many generations. For all their diversity, they have one thing in common: they have understood that investing in innovation is the economic success of tomorrow. They are therefore systematically focused on creating the new. The best were selected from the large number of applicants. For this purpose, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration spent weeks examining information, analysing patterns and comparing companies.

Innovation is part of VANTAiO's genetics. Managers encourage employees to be creative, to take responsibility and also to take risks. This is the only way we can permanently inspire customers with our products and create real benefits.

The TOP 100 innovation competition is based on a scientific selection process that the participating companies have to go through. On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the comparison, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined VANTAiO using more than 100 innovation indicators from five categories: Top Management Promoting Innovation, Innovation Climate, Innovative Processes and Organisation, External Orientation/Open Innovation and Innovation Success. Basically, this TOP 100 analysis is about the question of whether a company's innovations are just a product of chance or are systematically planned and thus repeatable in the future. Special weighting is given to the aspect of whether and how innovations and product improvements succeed on the market (further information on the test criteria can be found at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien).

VANTAiO's performance in the areas of top management, innovation climate, processes/organisation, external orientation/open innovation as well as the innovation successes to date fully convinced the jury.

About the TOP 100 award:

Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 seal for special innovative strength and above-average innovation success to medium-sized companies. Scientific management has been in the hands of Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke since 2002. Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. With 25 research awards and over 200 publications, he is one of the leading innovation researchers internationally. The mentor of TOP 100 is science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar.
