Bull’s eye: The VANTAiO Portal Day in Mainz.

All good things come in threes: after the first two successful dates in Munich and Zurich, on October 26, the VANTAiO Portal Day in Mainz - amid the sporty atmosphere of the Opel Arena. Under the motto "SAP is moving to the cloud - are you moving too?", everything revolved around the SAP portal platforms as well as up-to-date product information from VANTAiO and partners.

VANTAiO - this year for the first time actively supported by partners - took a closer look at SAP's portal platforms and explained to visitors which scenario could be the right one for them: on premise, cloud or hybrid.

The participants were very mixed: people from Frankfurt, Cologne, Dortmund, a fan from Bavaria, Darmstadt, Bremen, Gladbach ... But of course, also from Meenz!

The program was just as varied. Markus Marenbach presented the module concept of VANTAiO after a motivating introduction to the topic "Change and digital transformation" - very realistically based on an intranet page for the Christmas party 2017, created live in the demo portal.

The Portal Framework for SAP, awarded the German Design Award 2017, was very well received. The VANTAiO workFrame forms a perfect and attractive framework for the desired content - whether texts and images, applications, contact persons or even documents. The trick: every VANTAiO module is fully responsive and adapts optimally to its assigned position in the portal. Even in the context column, e.g. a video is placed at the touch of a button on the edge. An extremely useful feature to explain applications directly on the spot.

After this prelude, the ball went on to the VANTAiO partners. Thorben Grubert of mindsquare showed the SAP successFactors integration into the SAP Portal (performance appraisals etc.). Björn Adam introduced the brand new VANTAiO workflowManager, developed in cooperation with Foxysoft. The examples "Data Use Declaration" and "Employee Recommendation" showed vividly how easily and quickly new HR processes and forms can be provided. Pixelboxx's Michael Wegner, together with Markus Marenbach, demonstrated the pixelboxx Digital Asset Management (DAM), which fits in perfectly with the location using the example of sports shoes.

Finally, Michael Beining gave a talk about the SAP Cloud Platform technology in general and the first generation of VANTAiO software for the SAP Cloud Platform in more detail. Particularly noteworthy here: the good cooperation with the SAP Portal Team from Israel.

After the end of the official lectures, they went to the VIP lounge of the 1. FSV Mainz 05 for a bit of leisure, whether with a glass of wine, beer or grape juice. The service of the organizer was excellent - thank you very much for this.

The crowning highlight of the day was the excellently organized stadium tour. According to the numbers, data and facts about the stadium, there was an insight into all essential areas, from the business area to functional rooms and changing rooms right up to the edge of the lawn - and, of course, the opportunity to clarify all questions. Very exciting, such a lifelike insight into the football experience! It goes without saying that the VANTAiO team did not miss the opportunity to hold an individual press conference. Flashing lights and headlines included.
