Union Investment, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, is the investment company of DZ Bank and part of the cooperative financial group. In the course of the internal digitization, a new central service and application access for managers and employees was established with the UI portal. Guidelines for the design of the system were a very good user experience and "joy of use" in everyday work by reducing complexity with naturally operable web interfaces. Highlights from a functional point of view in the system are the personalized Application Store, a new user-friendly approval cockpit, adjustable substitution rules and maintainable, context-based additional information for applications. The system has been live in practice since April 2019 and is used daily by more than 2,500 employees.
