Michael Beining, Head of Software Development at VANTAiO, started the diversified program with an overview of the SAP Cloud worlds (including Neo vs. Cloud Foundry / Multi Cloud), including terms such as AWS, Gardener, kubernetes, Cloud Native and FaaS.
The VANTAiO developers then gave a look into their current work with SAP Cloud developments such as widget creation, use of SAP Document Services via CMIS and the programming of shell plug-ins in the SAP Fiori Launchpad and the SAP Cloud Portal.
After the lunch break, VANTAiO partner frequi took up the common thread and introduced his low code platform "storm", which attracted a lot of interest and led to lively discussions. The platform enables developers to create SAPUI5 full-stack apps in an extremely short time – and on multiple platforms (SAP NetWeaver, SAP Cloud Platform, etc.).
Now Björn Adam, Head of Software Solutions at VANTAiO, presented the roadmap of VANTAiO products, explaining the latest releases "Madrid" and "New York".
At the end of the successful day, Stefan Bohlmann, VANTAiO's Managing Director, gave interesting insights into the research and development department. With the latest generation of the SAP News Center for SAP Fiori 3 with output option on TV via Rasperry PI and the brand new showcase "venergy" for extranet portals on the SAP Cloud Platform, he presented extremely promising innovations.
