On the page shown here as an example, you can see a possible personal home page of SAP Build Work Zone: users are greeted by name and find their frequently used applications at a glance, e.g. for customer orders, HR, sales or purchasing. A support widget offers direct contact to IT support as well as access to FAQs, while the "What's New" section displays current news, for example from the areas of IT & support, procurement or self services.

This view shows a topic-specific overview page using self services as an example: all relevant content and applications of a topic area are bundled here in one central place. A prominent hero area highlights current functions – such as submitting travel expenses. Below it, employees find further information, common tasks and matching applications bundled together, so they can quickly find their way around a topic area without having to search for long.

On an area-specific application page – here for Finance & Controlling – all applications relevant to a department are brought together in a structured way. Clearly grouped by category, employees directly access the applications they need in their everyday work, from reporting and planning to operational finance processes. This creates a tailored entry point that bundles exactly the functions a team actually needs.

The editorial cockpit is the central working environment for all editors. All INFO objects – from relevant news from the work and process environment to web content elements – can be clearly managed, filtered and sorted here. At a glance, you can see which content is published, in progress or released for revision. The integrated staging workflow ensures a clear editorial process, so that you keep an overview at all times, even with large amounts of content.

Creating a news item takes place in a guided editor that leads step by step through all relevant details. As early as during creation, you define which channels and target groups a message is delivered to. All fields, as seen here in the screenshot, e.g. title, summary and preview image, can be maintained in multiple languages – for example in German and English. This way, relevant information reaches exactly the employees for whom it is intended and is presented consistently and appealingly in the appropriate context.

With the VANTAiO extension, texts, images and documents can be entered directly on all pages of SAP Build Work Zone and changed at the push of a button. Via a form, editors can conveniently edit, format and publish content. A comprehensive web content management system with integrated media management is available for this. Texts, images and documents can thus be managed centrally, selected and flexibly reused. This means content can be updated quickly and reliably and kept up to date.

New applications are created via a guided configuration dialog and embedded into the Work Zone. Whether an internal SAP application or an external web app – title, target URL, system assignment and further parameters can be defined centrally. The navigation and visualization settings define how and where an application appears. This creates unified access to all relevant applications and processes that can be precisely adapted to the system landscape and the requirements of the company.

The Content Manager is the central interface for designing and maintaining individual pages. The basis is a flexible page grid layout that can be freely divided into sections and columns. Administrators can easily add new areas, define their layout and place the desired widgets in them via drag and drop. Content can then be flexibly arranged and adapted to the requirements of the company. The pages can be updated at any time and specifically tailored to different target groups.

With the Theme Designer, the appearance of the Work Zone is individually adapted to the corporate design. Colors, logos, fonts and semantic color worlds can be edited via a structured parameter list – with a direct live preview on desktop, tablet and mobile. The comparison between the original and the adapted version makes every change immediately visible. This creates a consistently brand-compliant user experience that seamlessly integrates the Work Zone into your own corporate identity.
